 Peepshow
A new entry to the Buffalo Niagara arts events calendar, this is a media-arts-oriented art show and party built around the dual themes of love and sex. Always held in February, this event grew out of Squeaky Wheel's annual "luv 'n' sex" screening.

Beyond/In Western New York
A biennial spring survey of the most interesting art happening in and around Western New York and Southern Ontario, this is organized by the Albright-Knox Art Gallery with the participation of the other major art galleries of the region.

CEPA Auction
This is another biennial event, a fundraiser featuring cutting-edge photographic work, and is eagerly anticipated by anyone who collects contemporary art in the area. Every other May.

Artists in Buffalo Spring Open Studio
Held usually on a Friday evening in May, this annual studio tour and sale celebrates all the artists working in the Elmwood and Allentown districts.

 Allentown Art Festival
Always held the second weekend in June, this outdoor event features hundreds of artists and craftspeople. Thousands of visitors - from inside and outside of the region - flock to the historic Allentown district to soak up the sun, admire fine crafts, and socialize. This is one of the largest and oldest outdoor art festivals in the United States.

Music is Art
Largely a music event with a huge lineup of bands, this also features a visual arts component. Held on Franklin Street in Allentown on the same weekend as the Allentown Art Festival.

 Elmwood Festival of the Arts
Buffalo's second summer art festival is held along Elmwood Avenue and features local artists and craftspeople, local food stands, children's activities, and music and dance performances.
