Climate
Buffalo has four distinct seasons. Buffalo summers are traditionally mild and pleasant with breezes from nearby Lake Erie keeping
temperatures moderate and humidity low. The average daytime temperature in July is 80°.
Buffalo enjoys an average of 85 days per year with temperatures over 75°; 50 days with temperatures over 80°; and only three days with
temperatures over 90°. The 100° mark has never been reached in Buffalo.
On average, Buffalo has only three days per year when the temperature drops below zero. Buffalo can expect more days with temperatures
over 75° (85) than days with snow on the ground (76). Buffalo's reputation for snowfall is in part the result of precipitation in the "snowbelt"
south of the city, which is right where it's needed in the ski areas.
